Our practice areas include criminal, family, and social justice law.<\/p>\n<p>With 25 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nslegalaid.ca\/legal-aid-offices\/\">offices and 3 sub-offices across the province, our Staff Lawyers<\/a> appear regularly in court and help thousands of Nova Scotians each year by reducing barriers to access to justice through high-quality advocacy and client service.<\/p>\n<p>This Managing Lawyer role offers a unique opportunity to combine a meaningful client practice with people leadership in a regional office setting. Based in Port Hawkesbury, the position offers opportunities to shape service delivery, work closely with justice partners, and lead a team and practice that responds directly to local needs. You will maintain a mixed family and criminal caseload while leading a team of Staff Lawyers and Legal Professionals and ensuring services are aligned with NSLAC\u2019s mandate, policies, and priorities.
