Nova Scotia Legal Aid (NSLA) delivers legal aid services in over 23 offices located throughout the Province, providing some level of help to all Nova Scotians with a focus on assisting those who are vulnerable and historically disadvantaged, including: Indigenous Peoples, African Nova Scotians, Immigrants and economically disadvantaged persons. NSLA’s focus is in the practice areas of criminal, family and social justice law (assistance where income or housing is at risk).
NSLA provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, disability insurance and a pension plan. Please note that these benefits are available to permanent, full-time employees and not all benefits are available in other employment contracts, or for short-term contracts. NSLA offers fitness incentives, wellness programs and professional development opportunities for staff.
